Sylvere Trichard is a very young vigneron who lives in the small hamlet of Blace, a village in Beaujolais. In 2012, after interning with Domaine Belluard and working at Domaine Lapalu, he took over 4ha of vines that his uncle cared for since 1998 and farmed organically (certified Ecocert).
Sylvere is a dedicated vine grower, extremely attached to his land and family, eager to craft the best wine by pushing his limits. His wines goes through semi-carbonic maceration and are aged in a combination of concrete vats, 5-6 years old barrels and foudre and are bottled with or without SO2. For the moment, we are bringing one declassified cuvee we love called “Gisous,” a tribute to this grand-mother who lives next to him. The grapes comes from 2 parcels: La Chretienne and an old vines + 50 years old. This cuvee is only available in MAGNUMS.
The cuvee, "Gisous", comes from a parcel of 80 years old vines, facing North/East. The soil is composed of clay, silt and sand and the subsoil is all granitic. In this hot year of 2015, the yields were on average 25hl/ha with an acidity of 3.70g/l. The grapes went through semi-carbonic maceration and natural fermentation, the wine was then aged for 8 months in wooden casks, no filtration, no fining and bottled with a bit of SO2. Total SO2=15mg/l. This wine is available in MAGNUM only. Tastes better.
