Mouthes Le Bihan’s winery is located in the Cotes de Duras, an appellation situated in between Bergerac, l’Entre-Deux-Mers and the Marmandais. It is a small appellation of 2,000 ha where the Bordeaux grapes strive alongside Chenin Blanc.

The lovely proprietors, Jean-Mary and Catherine le Bihan are farmers. Today, they organically grow cereals, sunflowers and raise Arabian horses. They own 27 ha of vines spread in many different parcels. Their first vintage was in 2000.

The goal is to make honest wine as naturally as possible. Therefor, all the efforts are centered on the vineyards, old vines, managed yields, plowing of the soil, no chemicals (except copper and sulfur), manual harvest in small basket, and strict sorting.

The estate is certified organic and going through biodynamic certification. In the cellar there is minimum intervention, only indigenous yeasts, and no other entrants except SO2 at the bottling.
