Age of Vines
Jean-Philippe & Jean-Edouard Camp
Côte de Beaune
30 years old
Located in the north-west of Beaune, the Camp Atthalin family has lived in Savigny-les-Beaune for 13 generations. Since 1962, the vines were leased to other winemakers until 2017 when brothers Jean-Philippe and Jean-Edouard began converting 5 hectares of vines to organic and biodynamic.
No plowing but small surface scratching to slightly aerate the soil and prevent the grass from growing too strongly. Plots are vinified and aged separately.
The vines are 28years old with an average of 45 to 50 years old.
